Marian A Bishop

Marian A. Bishop, age 82, was born on December 16, 1933 in Del Valle, Texas. She attended High School in Austin, Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas College in San Marcos, Texas in 1955. She passed away May 14, 2015 in Sugar Land, Texas.

Marian was an extensive traveler. She enjoyed playing bridge, art, and was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of Christ in Meadows Place, Texas.

Among her loves and one of her strong focuses for over 30 years was serving as a volunteer at the Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

Marian is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, James A. Bishop, by her two grandsons, Justin Lee Bishop and Forrest Alexander Bishop, by her daughter-in-law, Kathryn Bishop, by niece JoAl Sheridan, and a nephew, Thure Cannon.

Her parents, Carl Thure, Jr. and Elsie G. Sundberg, her son, Mark Steven Bishop, and her sister, Alice Jean Cannon, preceded her in death.

A Memorial Service for Marian will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at The Sugar Grove Church of Christ, 11600 West Airport Blvd. Meadows Place, TX.
