Marjorie "Mel" Walk was very special! I only worked with her for 4 years but knew her as my friend for 40 years. She would light up the room when she walked in it. She had a lot of knowledge to share and was a great business woman. She spent many years with Prudential Insurance Company working in various capacities during her tenure. She inspired me and taught me a lot in the early years. I kept her connected to the business world long after she retired from it. Who knew her last chapter, Retirement, would be one of her longest? She must have been surrounded by a strong and loving family that inspired her to live on and to see what the future held in store. Now, she has rejoined her beloved husband, Hugh! Our prayers and cherished memories live on with Janie, Roger, Hugh's sons and their families. She will live on in my life!

Mel was so dear to me, and I'm going to miss our long phone visits. We shared the working environment as well as weekends in Galveston during the '80's and early 90's. When my Mother died, she became like a Mother to me. I know she and High are together dancing around in heaven now!

Mel was very loving to her pets. She was loved by all in the family and will now be joining my father, Hugh in the hereafter. She was very sweet to all her family and friends and I will miss her. May God Bless. Douglas Walk
