Michael Scott McCasland Jr.

MICHAEL S. McCASLAND, JR., a Computer Lead Technician, 38 years old, who was born in Amberg, Germany on December 9, 1977, to Michael S. McCasland Sr. and Excemcia G. McCasland, who moved to Houston, TX in 1992 from Bavaria and Rheinlandfalz, Germany. Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Celeste; his grandparents, Barney and Frances McCasland, and Jacobo and Conchita Gallego. He is survived by his aunts and uncles: Barney McCasland III of Pensacola, Florida, Ross and Gina McCasland of Lubbock, Texas, Gail and Mike Seerey of Greenwood, Texas, Jacobo Gallego Jr and Lynnett Gallego , Mario and Joy Gallego, Josephine and Joel Jonelas, and Samuel and Eusie Sale, all residing in the same location, Panabo, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

A celebration of his faith and life will be held at a memorial service at All Saints Lutheran Church, February 12, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the directions by Earthman Southwest Funeral Home.

Friday February 5, 2016, Michael Scott McCasland Jr. passed away from this world to the next peacefully and having all the faith God requires of any man. We are certain he has been received with joy by his loving sister, his uncles and grandparents whom he knew and loved. As he is embraced in peace and love by those who went to prepare a place for him, we ask only for peace for those who remain behind. God has a perfect plan for each of us. We are not required to understand or question that plan, but instead to continue to lead our lives in such a way as to be a blessing to others. It is not required that we perceive those blessings, but that God does. However, I do believe I was privileged to view blessings passed on by Michael to his fellow man. Despite difficulties he faced over the years, he continued to dream dreams, make plans and be kind to his fellow man.

Michael Scott McCasland Jr., gone from us in his 38th year was a son to be proud of.
