Monica Amaugwu

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Monica Amaugwu, who departed this life on July 29, 2025, at the age of 65.

Monica was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a loyal friend, and a woman of unwavering faith. Born in Tsoriyang, located in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria, on January 1, 1960, she lived a life rooted in compassion, kindness, and service to others. She was a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her.

A faithful servant of God, Monica dedicated much of her life to her church and community. Her devotion to Christ was evident in her words, her actions, and the way she treated everyone around her—with warmth, generosity, and unconditional love.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dominic Amaugwu, and her seven beloved children: Grace, Miracle, Joshua, Amarachi, ThankGod, Jennifer, and Wisdom, along with cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many more relatives. Monica cherished her family above all else and poured her heart into raising her children with strong values, love, and faith.

Though her time with us was cut far too short, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held at Sugar Land Church of Christ, located at 15590 Voss Road in Sugar Land, on August 16,2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m.

The funeral service will follow at the some location at 11:00 a.m.

The interment will follow, via funeral procession to Forest Park Southwest Cemetery in Richmond.
