

Born on July 29, 1956, in Afuze, Nigeria, Olo was a woman of remarkable strength, ambitious and endless kindness. She relocated to Louisiana to receive her education at Grambling State University. Graduating Summa Cum Laude Bachelor’s Degree in business administration. She relocated to Houston, Texas and graduated with her Master’s Degree in Business administration. She worked her way to success by starting as a service worker for Texas Department of Human Services. She found her passion working for Home and Community Based Services (housing intellectual disability individuals and providing the service they need). She was part of that profession for over 26 years.
Olo was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a woman of unwavering faith and a passionate servant of her ministry (Today Evangelical Ministry).
Deeply committed to her faith, Olo found joy and fulfillment in serving others and attending missions trips through her ministry. Her words uplifted, her prayers comforted, and her presence inspired. She was a woman of prayer and principle whose devotion to God shaped every aspect of her life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Idris Abubakar, her cherished daughters, Aisha and Ramat and her dear son, Kassim. Olo was the heart of her home and a guiding light to all who knew her.
Her legacy of love, service and spiritual strength will continue to live on and in all the lives she touched.
A service of songs will be held on Friday, May 30, at 6:00 p.m. at Calista Ballroom, 869 Dulles Ave, Stafford, Texas 77477.
A visitation for Olo will be held Saturday, May 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. also in the chapel at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home. The Abubakar family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring a life well lived.
The interment will follow, via funeral procession to Forest Park Southwest Cemetery in Richmond.
May her soul rest in perfect peace and may her memory continue to be a blessing.
