Patricia Kelly (“Trisha”) Ripley of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born to the late Bentley Chester Kelly II and Mary Frances Patterson Kelly on March 23, 1952.
Trisha attended Bellaire Highschool before graduating Lamar University in December 1985 as a distinguished member of her class, Beta Alpha Psi and the Cap and Gown Honor Society. She began her career as a petroleum accountant at Union Texas Petroleum in January 1986 and progressed to various accounting positions until leaving UTP in September 1999 to coordinate NGL distributions at Enterprise Products until September 2005. Trisha supported NGL opportunities at BP from September 2005 and then moved in to equity crude marketing analysis until retiring in January 2016. Trisha was an active member of her professional community throughout her career, serving as Vice President and member of the Gas Liquids Distribution Association.
A loving mother and homemaker, Trisha was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She was well known and loved in her community as a frequent volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House and The Hope Village Foundation.
Trisha is survived by her husband, Donald Ripley, two daughters, Kelly Elizabeth Ripley and Kathryn Elyse Ripley, all of Houston, Texas, and many other loving relatives and close friends.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for and supported her during her last days. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at the Earthman Funeral Home located at 12555 S.
