

Paul graduated from Phillis Wheatley Senior High School in the class of 1975 in the Houston Independent School District. He attended the University of Houston Downtown, showing his desire to learn and grow, even though he began his rewarding career as a mail carrier with the United States Post Office before completing his college education.
He dedicated over 40 years of his life working at the post office, retiring after a long, faithful service to the community. Paul was a kind-hearted and dedicated mail carrier who touched the lives of many. Known for opening his doors and ears to everyone he encountered, he was always ready to listen, offer a kind word, and brighten the day of those around him. His unwavering dedication and genuine spirit made him a trusted friend and a beloved presence in the community.
A passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, he eagerly cheered for his team, sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family. He also loved a good cigar—a small pleasure that reflected his relaxed and personable nature.
Paul will be dearly missed by all who knew him—his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched through his loyalty, kindness, and friendship. His legacy of love and compassion will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest peacefully, Paul. Your journey here has ended, but your spirit and memory will continue to inspire us all.

Denese Whitfield Nixon Darden (Sister), Henry “Honey” Scott, and Tena Mae Levy Scott (Parents).
He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy his most precious gems, His son Shannon Laurence Whitfield and granddaughter his princess, Serenity Mae Whitfield, whom he loved more than life itself; two sisters Paulette W.Holmes, and Judy C. Whitfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends whom he loved dearly.
