Phillip Edward Goodwin

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Edward Goodwin and JoAnn “Jody” Jernigan Goodwin.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalinda Goodwin, daughter, Genevieve, brother and his wife Steve and Kathe Goodwin, and their children, Angela and Stephen.

Phillip graduated high school from Western Hills High School in Fort Worth, TX, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX. Phillip was a loving family man with a heart of gold. Before his retirement, he was a gifted and caring science teacher in the public school system, bringing his unbridled enthusiasm into the classroom. He enjoyed golfing with his dad on the weekends and was a passionate movie enthusiast with a particular interest in sci-fi and action movies. He was incredibly friendly and can easily strike up a conversation with anyone he meets. He was a lover of life and all its little joys.

The visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home located at 12555 S. Kirkwood Rd., Stafford, TX 77477. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with a reception following in the Earthman Southwest Reception room from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
