Sharon Joyce Kitchen of Meadows Place, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born on August 7th, 1958, in Castro Valley, California. Over the years, Sharon’s life journey took her from California to Illinois, then Florida, before she ultimately made Texas her home — a place where she built a life rooted in love, family, and faith.
Sharon graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in San Antonio in 1976. She married the love of her life, Bryan Kitchen, in Houston in 1987, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and laughter.
She spent her career serving others with diligence and grace, working as Secretary to the President of American Capital, a bookkeeper for various entities, and most recently as a Business Services Assistant at MedRelief. Her professionalism, loyalty, and kindness earned her the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond her career, Sharon found joy in the simple things that mattered most. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and gathering with her dear friends from Bunko. Her warmth, humor, and generosity made her the heart of every gathering and the anchor of her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Duane France, her mother, Minda France, and her brother, Richard France. She is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Kitchen; her children and their spouses — Jeramy and Sarah Kitchen, Courtney and Brian Joiner, and Cody and Allison Kitchen; her brother, Ken France; and her cherished grandchildren: Kylie Kitchen, Alexis Kitchen, Boone Kitchen, Colton Joiner, Emilee Joiner, Keegon Kitchen, and Haley Kitchen. Sharon’s legacy lives on in the love she poured into her family and the countless lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, at 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, Texas, on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., where Cody Kitchen, is to officiate.
