In 1944, The Allied Forces landed on beaches of Normandy, the Siege of Leningrad caused death and destruction to millions in Russia, V1 and V2 rockets bombed London and the Battle of the Bulge turned the tide for World War II. The Average Cost of a new house was $3,450 and the cost of a gallon of gas was 15 cents. Imperial Japanese ruled over Korea, a population of 25 million people.

Into this world, a boy was born in Seoul, S. Korea and given the name "Sung Nam Kim".

Mr. Kim - as I called him with affection and sometimes when we are drinking his favorite libation - Crown Royal or Chivas Regal, I would call him "Dad". Those are the moments that I remember fondly because we were both feeling pretty comfortable and his personality really came out the most "under the influence"...

We are here today, not to share saddness, but to celebrate Mr. Kim's life and reflect on all that he has achieved in these short 73 years. For one, Mr. Kim was intelligent to marry one of the prettiest girls in Korea! And through their love brought to this world my Beautiful wife (Tina), my brother-in-law (Steve), and their youngest (Tammy).

Mr. Kim had a quiet reflective personality, until the Chivas kicked in... In all the years that I've known him, I never once heard him raise his voice, never lost his patience, and always carried himself with a calm disposition. I wish I was more like him in that way.

Through many decades of hard work in the textiles industry, Mr. Kim provided for his family and instilled strong Christian values in his children. He taught his children to appreciate life and love for Family.

If you look at these photos today, it is clear his love for the family is what he cherished the most... Dad will forever be in our hearts and watching over all of us in spirit. Your legacy will live within the genes and DNA of Lauren / Matthew / Ryan / Harper & Kinley). We love you Dad! Rest in Peace...

Grandpa, I remember the summer you picked me up from baseball camp at UTD and we talked about the camp and if I had fun. I enjoyed our time together - Matthew
