Thankamma Chandy

THANKAMMA CHANDY 78, entered into eternal rest on Sunday August 7, 2011, in Houston, Texas. Thankamma is survived by her husband, John Chandy; her sons, Jolly and wife Molly, John K. Chandy and wife Elsy, her daughters, Kochurani and husband K.J. Joseph, Ponnumani, Marykutty and husband Sajumon, Philomina and husband Thomas, Sissymol and husband Dibu, Sindhumol and husband Santhosh and grandchildren.

She was born on December 20, 1933 to Sebastian Kottaram and Achamma Kottaram in Shertallai, India. Thankamma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed. She gave importance to her family and loved her grandchildren very much. She was a generous, kind, selfless lady who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a devout catholic who attended church regularly and gave much importance to God and Prayer in her life. She could win the hearts of people easily and made friendship with everyone. She was a very happy and pleasant personality throughout her life.

A memorial mass was held at St.Joseph Syro Malabar Catholic Church, 211 Present Street, Missouri City,TX-77489 on August 9,2011 by Rev.Fr.Jacob Christy. Visitation service was held from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earthman Southwest Chapel, Stafford on Saturday, August 13, 2011 by Rev.Fr.Jacob Christy. Funeral Services were held on Monday, August 22, 2011, at Sacred Heart Church,Chethipuzha, Changanacherry,Kerala, India.
