"Preston" as we all called him in high school.
We will all remember Tom for being such a fun and devoted friend always enjoying the moment even if it was running out of gas or having flat tires.
We fished, hunted, camped, ate Bar B Q, and upon occasion drank a beer and sang the latest hit songs.
What a wonderful and great man to be with. We loved him like family along with Susie and John.
Though Tom has passed on before us he is not forgotten but instead left behind the beautiful memories of how we should enjoy every moment in this life, thanking the Lord for all of our many blessing.
May God bless the family and pour out His grace upon you and be with you.

I have had the amazing blessing and honor of knowing the Preston Family for many years now. They quickly became apart of my family.

Mr. Preston or as I liked to call him 'Daddio' was the ultimate Dad, friend, and role model. His love for life and his girls was truly inspirational. I feel so honored to have been apart of his journey and to have had the privilege to have called him Daddio! He always welcomed me in as his daughter #3 and I am so grateful for his guidance, love, and comic relief.

I am flooded by so many fond memories; dance team parent dances, Halloween parties, poker nights, holiday parties, Cabo, SFA parent weekends, graduations, weddings...all of which included so much love and laughter.

Daddio, you will be missed dearly and never forgotten because of the imprint you have left on the hearts and lives of all your family and friends. Your legacy lives on through all the lives that you have touched.

Tomas Preston! The MAN, the MYTH, THE LEGEND. Tom Preston or Dad Preston as I liked to call him...is truly a family MAN of God. I met the Preston family about 15 years ago. For the first few years I would come visit Dad Preston was (most of the time) away enjoying the outdoors. It became an inside joke that he was just a MYTH. Once I finally met him he truly became like a second Dad to me. His hugs are the best and were instantly comforting. He loves his family and friends unconditionally. Tom would always make sure I was fed or had something to drink. Once I was old enough then he would always offer me a beer.
Growing up I heard all about Cabo and the many stories and adventures that happened. Eventually I got the privilege of being invited. It was truly a vacation I will never forget. Tom/Tomas made it very memorable. Dad Preston made sure everyone had a great time...the whole trip. At one point on the trip I got stung by a bee for the first time. To take my mind off the pain he told me that I would start speaking Spanish and crave guacamole since we were in Cabo.
Dad Preston is a LEGEND that will live on every day in our hearts and in the lives of Lauren, Jessica and Mom Preston. Rock on Dad I know you will be watching over us all. Go Astros!

So much to say about Toma man of integrity and dedicated work ethic who loved his family with a burning desire that will continue to shine around and protect them. Tom loved life and lived it to the fullest. The presence at any celebration that shined joyfully and just made us all happy to be with him. Sturdy as a rock with all the family matters of life. A loving heart that children and animals were drawn to. That says volumes about this incrediblely strong yet gentle and playful man. I will always treasure him being in my life and loving my precious Leslie

From the very first time I met him he was always welcoming and smiling. My daughter has always been weary of males but she absolutely adored him. Every time we would visit she would follow him around or sit next to him. I can only assume that she could see what a kind soul and great heart that he had. I'm so glad that she had the opportunity to meet such a wonderful male role model.

I only met Tom a couple of times but the times I was around him were memorable. I'll always cherish the special times between Tom and Lauren at her wedding. My favorite memory was when Tom saw Lauren in her wedding dress before he walked her down the isle and started tearing up and of course his dancing skills at the reception :) I love how Tom was full of life and loved to have a good time.

I will never forget the look on Tom's face, the tears and the love he showed while walking Lauren down the aisle. It was a magical moment. You could feel the love he had for his sweet baby girl.
Tom was so lively every time I was around him. He always had such a positive attitude.
I will miss all the fun and silly stories Lauren would tell me after spending time with him. He will forever be missed.

Tom, thank you for letting me marry your daughter, thank you for raising her so well, and thank you for everything else you've ever done for me. I wish I could have known you longer, but I'll always cherish the time we had. I couldn't have asked for a better father-in-law. From when I first met you at Easter Dinner 2012, through other holidays, vacations, or just hanging out at the house, you always welcomed me with open arms into your family, and treated me as a friend and a son, and I am truly grateful for that. You are gone far too soon, and you will be so sorely missed... until we meet again.

Dad, I remember when I was about five years old and I told you that I wanted to marry you. My reason for that was so that I could live with you forever. I love you so much and miss you every day. I miss your jokes, I miss your laugh, I miss you. You were the best father I could ever ask for. You laid with me in bed when there were monsters in my room and would stay there until I fell asleep. You would take me to Toys R' Us and the Disney Store on weekends to get some small toys, that I would then return because I wanted new ones. You would always cheer me up when I was down. You would tell us that, Preston's are winners! I believe that until this day.

You taught me to look at the positives in life, and that nothing bad lasts. You taught me about life, finances, the importance of a great education, and you showed me so much love.

You took us on family vacations every year and taught us the importance of family. You made sure everyone was always having a great time. You worked so hard so that you could provide for us and give us an amazing life.

There is nothing that I can say or do to show everyone how much of an amazing person you were. The people who truly know you already do.

I'm going to miss going on those family vacations, I'm going to miss having Thanksgiving with you and sometimes celebrating it with you on your birthday, I'm going to miss waking up and eating Christmas breakfast and opening presents with you. I'm going to miss lounging in the pool with you. I'm going to miss everything about you. I know one day we'll meet again, and I cannot wait for that day.

I'm so blessed that you chose mom as your wife. I could not get through this without her and my amazing sister. They are the best and I love them so much.
I will always love you, you will never be forgotten.

You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I see signs from you often, and I feel like you're still here. I know you're watching over us. Until then, I'll be seeing you. I love you, Daddy.

Lauren, I will always remember going over to your parents' during our U of H teacher observation days and talking with your dad. He was always in the best mood and would tell jokes and make us laugh. I know that you will all miss him so very much. I am so thankful that I was able to know him. I will continue to pray for you, your amazing mother, sister, and brother. ❤
