Born in Marshalltown, Iowa on October 10, 1961, he was 1 of 12 siblings. Tim was the epitome of a “Good ol boy” who knew the value of hard work and expected nothing less than perfection from his crew on every job site. Although stern, he passed his knowledge and skill to countless individuals who would all agree they learned from the best.
He held family, fishing, friends, the Dallas Cowboys, and volunteering for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo closest to his heart and it was a well known fact he was one of the first to volunteer his time, labor, or one of his famous 15 hour briskets to a good cause or those he loved.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Johnson; son Jeremiah Johnson; granddaughter, Kyleigh Johnson; stepchildren Brian Allen Pierce and Christine “Cowgirl” Anzaldua; siblings, Jim, Dean, Becky, Wendy, Tom, Steven, David and Dennis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Schachtlie; father Worney Johnson; sister Lynda; brothers Jerry and John; and his baby daughter, Jessica Ann Johnson of 3 months.
The family kindly requests that guests wear Western attire or Dallas Cowboys apparel in honor of Tim.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford, on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
