June 15, 1934 – March 27, 2026
Born on June 15, 1934, in Akron, Ohio, Ann was the daughter of Allyn Knight Thayer and Delores Madeline Schaller. Ann attended Kent State University where she met her husband, Robert Allen Vignerot, who passed away in 1991.
Ann built a respected career as an executive with Boat U.S. in Alexandria, Virginia. After 36 years of hard work and dedication, she retired in 2006. Her long career reflected her diligence, integrity, and commitment to excellence.
She was a devoted mother and is survived by her four children: Debra Adams-McCall, Scott Vignerot, Marc Vignerot, and Robert Vignerot. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to six grandchildren: Sarah Adams, Carole Adams, Margaret Haskins, David Adams, Tiernan McKew-Vignerot, and Tristan McKew-Vignerot and just last year she became a great-grandmother to James Haskins.
Ann spent her later years in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she remained part of her community as one of the top volunteers for Stafford County. She loved to travel, taking trips across Australia, Europe and the US. A two-time cancer survivor, Ann’s quiet independence, tenacity and kindness left a deep imprint on those who knew her and she will be deeply missed. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild, who will carry her memory forward.
Ann Thayer Vignerot, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026. She may have lived independently, but she was never lonely and will always be missed.
