

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, George A. Licht and Mary Boxlightner; as well as her brother, Carl Licht.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Jackson; her brothers, George Licht, Bill Licht and Otto Licht; as well as her children: son, Clayton E. Jackson and wife Lynne of Torrance, CA, Stuart Jackson and wife Natalie of Missouri City, TX; daughter, Tanya Holland and husband Greg of Stafford, VA; seven grandchildren, granddaughter, Ryan Holland and grandson, Reese Holland of Stafford, VA; granddaughter, Cheyenne Jackson and granddaughter, Hailey Jackson, both of Torrance, CA, and granddaughter, Sierra Jackson and granddaughter, Olivia Jackson and grandson, George Jackson, all of Missouri City, TX. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Arlene was born on July 28, 1929 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in dietetics. She went on to serve in the United States Air Force, advancing to the rank of First Lieutenant. She and Donald married in 1958. Arlene accomplished much during their life together. She worked as a dietician, as a teacher, and was a successful realtor. She also established flourishing nursery schools in two different communities.
Arlene enjoyed traveling in her free time. She was able to visit over 60 countries during her life. She was also an excellent cook and authored her own cookbook.
Arlene was a member of the Potomac Valley Church of Christ during her residence in Stafford.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 14th at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15th in Quantico National Cemetery.
