Barbara Ross

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Sgt. Major USMC Pete Ross; and her children, Andrew Shannon, Frank Shannon, Elizabeth Hagen and Kathleen Romine.

Barbara will also be greatly missed by her fifteen grandchildren; her twenty-two great grandchildren; and her brother, Barry Langley.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Shannon; and her siblings, William Langley, Betty Bonney, Robert Langley, and Bourke Langley.

Barbara was a Marine Wife for 32 years. During that time, she received numerous awards for her many volunteer achievements and her support to other military families.

She spent her life caring for others. She was always available for people in need, whether it was a ride to church or the grocery store or if someone just needed a friend to sit with them. When she wasn’t helping others, you could find her working in her yard, tending to her garden, crafting with her group of friends called “The Crafting Grannies”, playing Bunko and volunteering at all the church activities.

Barbara worked at Angel’s Hallmark for 10 years.

Family was the most important thing to Barbara. She enjoyed traveling in the RV and she loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and everyone that had the pleasure of her loving gift!
