Bobby Lynn Jones

Bobby is survived by his mother, Myrtis Jones; his wife, Ottilie Jones; his children, Felicia Jones Morawe, Jennifer Jones, and Robert Jones; his grandchildren, Jaeden Morawe, Alexis Morawe, Tymel Clarke, Shakel Clarke, and Jania Clarke; as well as a large extended family.

Bobby was born on February 18, 1952 in Columbus, GA, to Willie and Myrtis Jones.

Bobby enlisted in the Army in 1976 and spent the next 22 years serving his country at various duty stations throughout Europe and the U.S. After retiring from the Army, he continued to serve his country as a federal employee. He spent the last 12 years working in Washington D.C as an IT Specialist at the Pentagon.

Bobby was a devoted and loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family unconditionally and was very involved by calling daily to keep in touch and to make sure his family was well. Bobby was a fabulous chef, avid golfer and all around sports enthusiast. He was a genuine and private man and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Quantico National Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome; however, the family would suggest memorial contributions made in Bobby’s name to be made to The American Lung Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
