Bobby Gene Williams, son of the late Jessie Williams, was born on January 26, 1938 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie; son, Robert; and brother, Donald Williams.
Bob, as he was lovingly called, leaves to mourn, his wife, Rev. Floree Williams; four daughters: Pamela Ferebee (Erwin) of Elizabeth City, NC; Cynthia Fergus (Kenneth) of Stafford, VA; Wanda Williams (Anthony) of Chesapeake, VA; and Klarice Thomas of Gastonia, NC; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
Bob received his formal education at Highland High School in Gastonia, NC, and served in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge. He later attended Brooklyn College in New York. Bobby was employed by the New York Telephone Company for thirty-one years. He also worked for the New York League for The Hard of Hearing, as well as for The Arc of Greater Prince William County in Virginia.
He came to know the Lord at an early age, and attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church, in Gastonia, NC, as well as Emmanuel AME Church, Shiloh Temple of Praise, and Ministries of Hope Christian Church, in Stafford, VA.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a very astute gentleman, quiet in nature, and kind at heart. He will be very deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
