Brian Douglas Mays

Brian was a devoted husband, father, son, a dedicated baseball and football coach and an avid golfer. He touched the lives of his family, friends, and players with his big heart and generosity. His compassion for young people was legendary and he always made time for those who needed help or just someone to listen.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen of 23 years; son Jacob, 15, of Stafford; parents, Stan and Patsy of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; brother, Steve, wife Chrissy and nephews Garrett Mays, and Tucker Mays of Myrtle Beach, SC; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Nicely of Lexington, VA and paternal grandmother, Anne Mays of Waynesboro, VA.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA, from 5:00-8:30 PM. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Brooke Point High School auditorium at 11:00 AM. A lunch reception will immediately follow the memorial service at Brooke Point.

Burial will be private.
