Obituary of Brittnee Yvonne Posey
Sunrise: June 14, 1993 – Sunset: January 14, 2024 Brittnee Yvonne Posey, of Triangle, Virginia was born on June 14, 1993 in Alexandria, Virginia. Daughter of Michael Posey (Royce Bell) and Michele Ramirez (Timothy Seman). Sadly, our Brittnee, age 30, senselessly died on Sunday, January 14, 2024 in her home in Triangle, a victim of domestic violence. Brittnee was a loving mother to McKenna and devoted to her family and friends. Brittnee is survived by her precious daughter, her loving parents, her immediate, extended, work and softball families, her many friends and her 3 dogs (Kosmo, Ace & Star). Her death has left a deep void in many hearts, and she will be forever missed. Brittnee, a graduate of North Stafford High School in 2011, lettered in softball in the 11th grade. Went on to have an amazing slow pitch softball career. From little league softball to recreation leagues to conference tournament softball, she was our favorite player. She just recently won the USSSA “B” World Championships in Florida making the All-Tournament team at the end of 2023 season. This bumped her up from a “B” to an “A” conference player. She was so proud of this moment. R.I.P. 6! Softball nation, we ask that you please be sure to wear your favorite jersey in support. Her visitation will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road Stafford, Virginia 22554. Brittnee's Celebration of Life will start at 2:00pm. We urge all who read her story to remember her, as we do, and to reflect on the circumstances that made for her tragic death. We each can play a role to prevent this from happening to anyone else. If you suspect a woman is the victim of domestic violence, tell someone. Don’t leave her alone. If a woman seems to be suffering in silence, say something. If you are in an unsafe relationship, or if you are concerned about a friend or family member who is experiencing domestic violence, you can seek help. The National Domestic Violence Hotline has advocates available to talk to you via phone at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or via online chat.
