He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Lucky was a member of the Aquia Harbour Host Lions Club, Elks Lodge #2355 in Woodbridge, Moose Lodge #2165 in Woodbridge and American Legion Post #290 in Stafford.
Lucky was famous for saying “It will all work out”.
Lucky is survived by his son, Russell Hager Nixon; his former wife and continued close friend, Sandra Broadhurst; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Friday, January 21 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 22 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington.
