Claire Palermo

Claire F. Palermo, 84, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday March 19, 2023. She was born on June 15th, 1938 to William and Gurli Barker in Massachusetts. She spent much of her life living in New York and Massachusetts before settling in Virginia. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, aunt, niece, sister, and friend. In recent years, Claire enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gurli Barker; father, William Barker, and sister, Barbara Mercer. She is survived by her children, Lori Young and Al Palermo; her brother, James Barker; her nieces and nephews, her aunt, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. A private burial service and gathering in honor of Claire will be held Saturday, April 15th, 2023 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
