

Dr. Curtis Garfielia Hall, 75 of Stafford, VA passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. God graciously allowed Dr. Curtis G. Hall to celebrate his 75th birthday before entering eternal rest. He beat the odds and fought the good fight many years.
Dr. Hall was born in Augusta, Arkansas on September 23, 1946, to Mr. Curtis Hall, Sr. and Ms. Willie B. Huggins. He attended secondary school at Carver High School in Augusta, Arkansas.
He enlisted in the United States Army twice, where the places of entry were Little Rock, Arkansas and Indianapolis, Indiana. He retired from Active Duty in 1985 in Ft. Hood, Texas after serving 20 years with the rank of SFC E7. During his tours, he honorably served in Korea and Vietnam. After retirement, he had a DoD Government Civilian career supporting Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), retiring in 2003.
Dr. Hall received his Ministerial license in 1982 at International Seminary in Plymouth, FL, where the graduation ceremony was in Ft. Myer, VA. During his attendance, he met his current wife and they were married on June 2, 1982, at Ft. Myer, VA by a close friend and Pastor, Rev. Eugene Walton (Carrie). He had a host of military friends he remained in contact with from Ft. Myer, VA. He attended Trinity University and received his Doctorate of Ministry around 1994. He also obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science. He was an advocate for advancing education and was a faithful servant of the Lord.
Curtis’s favorite hobbies were fishing, cooking, fixing things, spreading the Word of God, and praying. Dr. Hall loved helping his fellow Veterans to obtain the benefits they qualified for as Disabled Veterans. He loved listening to music. His favorite artists were Mahalia Jackson, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Slim & The Supreme Angels, Sam Cooke, and a few Southern Gospel Quartets. He loved spending time and talking with his family and his siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; Dezzie, from a previous union, two daughters, Cheryl Haile and Vanessa Hall; son, Patrick Hall; six brothers, Floyd Jesse Hall (Tracy), Joe Hall, Robert Louis Hall, Alcobra Hall, Eldridge Hall (Phyllis), Michael Hall (Yvonne); nine sisters, Carolyn Hall, Semelia Hall, Linda Hill, Curtiestine Madu, Linda West (Charles), Jackie Hall, Florinda Hall, Cheryl Ann Yates (John), Vivian Robinson; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death is his sister, Letitia and brother, Louis.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 6-8:00 pm at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
