He was born December 29, 1938 in Peoria Illinois to Battista and Iris (Heppard) Monge.
Prior to his retirement Mr. Monge was a comptroller with the Komatsu Corporation where had had worked 39 years. Darryl was also a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Verla (Bienemann) Monge of Stafford; daughter, Lori Ann Monge and friend Kelly Moore of Woodbridge; and son, Robert Darryl Monge of Stafford.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. with a 7:30 Rosary Saturday, November 3 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 6 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Roanoke, Illinois. A visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow mass at Roanoke Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor in Richmond, Virginia or PARC-Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens, Peoria, Illinois.
