David “Dave” W. Allison, 74, of Stafford, Virginia, passed away on February 5, 2026. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery on February 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., where full military honors will be rendered.
Dave was born on August 19, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He was drafted to serve during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked various jobs, including at Brach’s Candy Factory, before answering the call to continued service by enlisting in the United States Army. A proud recipient of the Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge, Dave dedicated over 20 years to serving his country, retiring with the distinguished rank of Master Sergeant.
Family was the center of Dave’s life. Every moment he shared with his loved ones mattered deeply to him, especially the joy he found in spoiling his children and grandchildren and filling every room with laughter. Dave gave every ounce of his heart and soul to ensuring his family always felt deeply loved, protected, and never alone. He embodied everything a father and grandfather should be.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Connie; his children, son Ralph Allison (wife, Patty) and daughter Jennifer Williams; his three cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Elysia, and Olivia; and his beloved grandpuppies, Beau and Autumn.
Dave will be remembered for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering love for his family. His humor, laughter, and wisdom were gifts to all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, Dave’s legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of his family and all whose lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dave's memory to Vietnam Veterans of America.
