David built a successful career in banking and rose to the position of Vice President of Wealth Management at US Bank. He was deeply respected in his field and honored with multiple local and national banking awards throughout his career. In addition to his professional success, David was also a professional bodybuilder for many years, earning several awards and recognition for his dedication, discipline, and strength.
David was a big man in every sense of the word, standing at 6’8”, but it was his heart that left the biggest impression on everyone who knew him. He was silly, hardworking, loyal to the bone, loving, compassionate, and deeply devoted to the people and animals he loved. He had a gift for making others feel cared for, and he would do anything for the people in his life.
He loved his wife, Melissa, with a fierce and steady devotion; she was the center of his world. He loved her deeply and made her feel cherished every day. David also carried a deep and lasting love for his daughter, Bailey, whom he spoke of often and with great pride. He treasured her and hoped to share more of his life with her, always wanting her to know the man he had become. He loved his stepchildren, Hailey Neff and Lyam Geving, as his own, and embraced them with an open heart.
David is survived by his wife, Melissa Blake; his daughter, Bailey Blake; his stepdaughter, Hailey Neff; and his stepson, Lyam Geving.
David will be remembered for his generous spirit, his humor, his devotion to family, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His presence was larger than life, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life was held in his honor.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
