Obituary of Debra Niblock
Debera Elaine Otts Niblock 1961 – 2022, Rn BSN, Marine Spouse, Mother, Friend Debra (Elaine) Otts Niblock, age 61, of East Brewton Alabama, drew her last breath early on November 28th 2022, in her final Marine Corps home of Stafford, Virginia. She was surrounded by family and rests easy with another Iron Bowl win. Known to friends and family as Debbie, she was a true light in this world. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, Rn BSN Labor and Delivery nurse, incredible cook and hostess, and the kindest friend you could ask for. To know Debbie is to know love. She went through life making sure everyone around her was well taken care of. A tough task in normal conditions, and something she excelled at through 15 Marine Corps moves. She made every new house into a home within days of moving in. To have been invited into her kitchen to share a meal is a treasured memory for all who were blessed to break bread with her. In any time of need, she was there to give you a hug and bring a comforting (and coveted) Kahlua Cake. If she could not travel at the time, it wasn’t unusual for her to pack up a fresh baked cake and put it in the mail. She shared her Kahlua Cake thousands of times and her recipe hundreds of times. If you would like to share a slice of her legendary love, please contact [email protected] Subj: Aunt Deane’s Kahlua Cake Recipe; and Les will happily send it to you. Debbie is preceded by her brother Michael Wayne Otts. She is survived by her husband, Lester Niblock; daughter, Brannon Elaine McKee (Niblock) Massey; son, Walter Raymond Niblock II; mother, Patsy Elaine Otts; sister, Connie Teresa (Otts) Campbell; a network of loving and supporting in-laws and their children, and her military family around the world. Memorial Service will be held at: 12/22/2022 Marine Corps Base Quantico Chapel @ 1300. Reception to follow at the O’Club. 1/14/2023 Cedar Hill Methodist Church, East Brewton, Alabama @ 1130. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. 1/23/2023 Fayetteville Veteran Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas @ 1130. Reception to follow at Marjorie’s. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Semper Fi Fund. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.mullinsthompsonstafford.com for the Niblock family.
