Earl Francis Flynn

Earl was born on December 8, 1940 in Bayshore, N.Y. to Earl and Jean McErlane Flynn.

Earl was employed as an engineer of environment systems with Kingswell.

He served in the U.S. Army in Germany, where he met an American girl, Joyce, working as a civilian, who he later would marry.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Flynn; four sons, Tim Flynn (Kendal) of Roundhill, VA., Tobey Flynn (Karen) of Beavercreek, OH, Andrew Flynn and William Flynn both of Stafford. He is also survived by four grandchildren Casey and Colby Flynn and Caitlin and Devin Flynn; two goddaughters, Victoria and Jaclyn Ambry of Oviedo, FL.; and long time friend, Karen Ambry.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service Stafford chapel, 186 Shelton Shop Road and from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 24. A funeral will then be held at 1 p.m. at Quantico National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Wounded Warriors.
