He was born on March 20, 1947, in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of the late John T. and Mary (King) Lytle. He retired as a dispatcher for Dominion Virginia Power Company. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and received a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Anne Lytle.
Survivors include his three sisters, Ann Lytle, Deborah Powell, Kathleen Whelan; two brothers, John Lytle and Kevin Lytle.
Services and military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
