Grace was born in upstate New York in 1943 and after college moved to Northern Virginia with her then husband to pursue a teaching career. She proudly worked as a high school Home Economics teacher retiring from the Loudoun County Public School System after decades of educating the young men and women of the county.
She raised two boys and made countless sacrifices to ensure they had an amazing upbringing. She was commonly referred to as “mom” by her son’s friends.
She had a passion for cooking and was always willing to feed whoever visited the house, including a hungry high school football team.
Upon retirement she moved to Stafford to be closer to her grandchildren, she was a constant presence in their lives. Grace enjoyed travelling and playing golf with her sons and grandchildren. She made friends wherever she went with her outgoing and comical personality.
She is survived by her two sons, Brian and Patrick, two grandchildren and numerous grand puppies.
