Henry Lee Ford

Henry Lee Ford, 86, of Stafford, Virginia passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side. Henry was one of ten children. He was born on March 11, 1931 to Homer and Hazel Ford of Herndon, WV. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol and survived by their three children, Linda Pickenpaugh (Gary) of Stafford, VA., Doris Hernandez (Ed) of Myrtle Beach, SC., and Duane Ford (Sallie) of Stafford, VA. He loved all of his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Henry enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, working on cars, and spoiling his two dogs. He enjoyed spending time with family and catching up with loved ones in West Virginia. Henry proudly served in the US Army from 1949 to 1952, and was a Korean War veteran. He later retired as an Army civilian from Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Henry was a loving husband and father, and a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be so missed by all who loved him. The stories and memories he shared of his life will always be treasured by the family. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 18 at Mullins and Thompson, Stafford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, Henry would rather donations be made to the ASPCA.
