He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marna Witt; son, Ron Witt; brothers, Robert and David Witt; sister, Betty Jett; grandchildren, Chad E. Witt, Jennifer Witt, Matthew Witt, Ashley Holm and Danny Fairweather; great-grandchildren,Ellie Witt, Evangeline Witt and Gage Fairweather; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son, James Marc Witt and his sister, Nina Carter.
The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10 at Rock Hill Baptist Church where a service will be held at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
