

He was born December 5, 1962 at Freeman's Hospital in Washington DC to the late Jeremiah Herbert Jones Sr. and Helen E. Timberlake.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Annemarie Jones; mother, Helen E. Timberlake; three children, Jeremiah Herbert Jones Jr., Darius Jones, and ,Demi Jones; his step daughter Annemarie Bunch and her three children, Jada, Savannah, and Ashton, three grandchildren; three sisters and six brothers, five uncles, three aunts, one great-aunt, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He attended DC and Maryland Public Schools along with the JobCorps where he learned to cook. Jerry worked for many years for Safeway Food store and Shoppers Food until he retired due to health issues. He was a member of RL Jones A.M.E Zion Church in Washington DC and loved the Lord. He was a huge Redskin Fan, and showed that by the clothes he wore. He was so outgoing and friendly everyone he met from the bank teller to the guy in the farmers market selling tomatoes was greeted with a smile and laughter, and boy did he love to talk. He will truly be missed and was greatly loved by so many.
His Journey
Don't think of him as gone.
Life holds so many facets this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting from the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.
Think how he must be wishing that we could know today how nothing but our sadness can really pass away and think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched!
For nothing loved is everlasting and he was loved so much.

A memorial service will be held on Monday November 9, 2015 at 11am at Abundant Life Assembly of God 200 Onville Rd. Stafford, Virginia 22556 with a reception to follow from 12-1:30 at the church. Inurnment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park at 2:30.
