With heavy hearts we share the passing of John Robert “Bobby” Smith, who left this world on August 1, 2026, at the age of 65.
Bobby was more than a name to those who loved him he was a steady presence, a familiar laugh in the room, and a man who showed his care in quiet but meaningful ways. Whether it was a well-timed joke, or simply being there when it mattered most, Bobby left an imprint on the hearts of his family and friends that will not fade.
He is survived by his loving family, including siblings, Lewis Smith Jr., James Smith (Marie), Shirley Carter (Jimmy), Patricia Rainey (James);7 nieces and nephews all of whom will carry his memory forward in their own lives and stories.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lewis Henry Smith and Margaret Ann Smith.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Bobby at Mullins and Thompson funeral home on Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, Va on August 7, 2026 at 12 to 1. A graveside service will follow immediately after at Stafford Memorial at 1 o’clock.
While we grieve his absence deeply, we find comfort in the love he gave and the memories that will continue to bring smiles through the tears. Bobby will be missed beyond words and remembered always with love.
