Jack's death was only recently noted to me this month of May 2022.

Great memories remain with many friends and family.  Jack's death is not the end of his relationship with his family, as God has promised we will be reunited in heaven with our loved ones.   The great news is that whatever physical problems we have on earth will be cured and live a happy and healthy life with our family for eternity.

Jack served so many people and organizations in his life it is not possible to detail the impact he had on so many, marines, friends, and museum visitors.  It is for certain that as he greeted so many at the museum with a smile and a gracious demeanor, he had a positive impact.

I am certain the gates of heaven were wide open for his arrival and greeted by Jesus with open arms.

We can never understand why God grants long or short lives to us, it is only important we make the most of the time here, and Jack did just that.  

It is the memories we store away in what I call our mental treasure chest, of family and friends that can be recalled in an instant when we long for their friendship, fatherly guidance or just a sit down with them at a huge holiday meal.

I invite you to join Karen and me this November 12th, 2022 for the USMC birthday and Veteran's Day celebration here at the ranch, where I will honor Jack on that day for his service to the Marines, country and family.

Every now and then we'd see Jack working in the yard, wearing his distinctive hat with large hawk feathers which he found in the yard, and we'd invite him over for a beer and whatever we had cooking on the grill while we were out on the front porch. He'd usually be able to take us up on our offer, and if not, we'd bring him over a brat or something off the grill. Can't remember what all we talked about, but he did say that Gisi took very good care of him and that he was so appreciative of her efforts. Then he followed that up with "What gets said on the porch, stays on the porch." I think it's ok to share that now.

On the day of Jack's funeral, I left the inside service to go check up on the food for the after-the-service meal. When I got home to let our dogs out there was a large hawk feather  perfectly centered on the back door to the deck. I figured it was Jack's way of saying thank you. I thought I had kept it, but couldn't find it a couple of days later. Perhaps what gets said on the deck stays on the deck.

We miss Jack.



My continued remembrance  -  Jack was a die-hard Washington Redskins fan.  From 2006 to 2019
he volunteered at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, logging in over 6000 hours, his final duty station at the Museum.  Jack was diagnosed with oral cancer 35 years ago. He traveled to Georgetown Hospital in DC for many years. He had many surgeries, chemo therapy, infusions, anything to help him live longer, and he did. He was a determined man.
In 2020 his body had had enough. He was just wore out.  Jack passed away with family at his side on MAY 7, 2021. As our daughter GISI said, you were there when I took my first breath and I was here when you took your last breath. WE ALL MISS YOU EVERY DAY   Jack Stewart, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa and Friend.
We have lost many great friend over the years, some were his co-workers. Hope they are in HEAVEN talking over the good times and there were a lot of them.  I know his mom and dad were glad to see him and so many more who went before him.

  My remembrance of Jack Stewart

Jack grew up in South East DC.  He went to St Peters Catholic grade school. From there he went to John Carroll High School. (Catholic School), played football, a strapping 210lb player.  After high school he worked in a bank. Wasn’t happy there.  Went to Maryland University for 6 months and decided that was not for him. One morning he decided to join the military.  So he drove down to the recruiting station. Said to himself, whatever branch of service was on the right he would join.  Just so happens it was the MARINE CORPS. (Great choice)  That choice formed his life. A great life for his wife and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and so many friends. I met Jack when he was home on leave from San Diego CA . (175lbs)  My girl friend Ann, who I went to school with, was married to Jacks best friend Doug, Blind date. 1959. It had lasted for 59 plus years, Jack and I married in 1962.  We lived in Adelphi MD.  Jack worked at Litton Industries, Emerson Research Labs, Harry Diamond Labs.  During this time we had 4 children. Scott now 57, Gisi 56, and twins Christina and Michelle now 53.  Jack started working for Harry Diamond Labs we traveled on and off.  Starting in 1972 thru 1978, we traveled as a family.  FL was our first trip. He worked in Polk City FL, came back to Adelphi MD. Next trip was Sierra Vista AZ., 6 months there and then to Delta Utah.   Next trip to Jackson MS., back to Adelphi MD.  Our last trip was to Hawaii for 8 months. We traveled with the same families from Harry Diamond Labs. We met wonderful families along the way. We still keep in touch, it was a great experience for our kids and me.  They still talk about it today. In 1979 we moved to Stafford Va.   Jack's work moved to Woodbridge, VA. We met new friend thru our kids here in Stafford. Spent many holidays together. We combined Jacks coworkers with our friend. We always had great parties here at our home. 

We met Jack and Gisi Stewart through our son who was dating one of their beautiful twin daughters.  Oh how thankful we are for that 7th grade relationship; it enabled us to have a long, loving, and lasting friendship with the Stewarts.


Some of our favorite memories of Jack were when we’d all (Lortons, Leskos, and the Stewarts) would get together to watch the Redskin “Glory Days” every Sunday throughout the NFL season.  All of us were intense fans, and we all celebrated or suffered together depending on the outcome of the game.  Those days were some of the best memories of our adult lives. 


I had a personal nickname for Jack.  I called him “The Silver Fox” because he was not only handsome, but he also had a glorious silver head of hair.  I think I was the only one who called him that.

Gisi, Below are some of our thoughts about Jack

Larry and I have been friends with Jack and Gisi since we moved to Stafford  We shared many great times with them on camping trips, cruises, and road trips.  We spend many Sundays watching the Redskins and Dallas fight for first place in the league.  Jack said we were the only cowboy fans allowed to park in his driveway.  We have so many memories of Jack.  One thing that always made us laugh wa my saying "I have to get ready for bed."   Jack would laugh and say why do you have to get ready for bed?  I smile whenever I think of that.  Another fun memory is being in Bermuda  I can still see Jack and Gerry's white knuckles when I led us on a local bus tour of the island.  The roads are very narrow and right up against the mountains.  We all thought we'd end up sliding off the road and rolling down the mountains right into the ocean.  To relax us we got off the bus and went into a bar named Swizzle in Stagger.  That was a great bar.  Jack was a wonderful friend and we feel privileged to have shared part of his life.  

It was sometime during January 1980 when we first met Jack and Gisi Stewart.  We were neighbors and attended get togethers with them.  Jack was always kind and friendly and enjoyed drinking his beer.  Jack let it be known he served in the Marines and was very proud to have done so.  We would tease him at times about being a former "Jarhead" but he always handled our teasing very graciously.  I recall Jack telling us while in the Marines he was transferred to the Far East and their mode of transportation was aboard an LST running at 10/12 knots.  Talk about a "slow boat" to China!  Jack said he would never forget that cruise and neither will I.  When Jack and Gisi visited us and the Jackson in South Carolina we frequently got together on the patio behind the Jackson's house with a sufficient amount of beer and raw oysters and before we were stuffed full, most of the worlds problems have been solved!!  We really miss you Jack. 

Jack was more than a co-worker, or a mentor, or a friend.  Jack & Gisi, along with all of the Stewarts, are an extended family to me. 
Jack & I spent a lot of time together.  We traveled for work for sometimes months at a time and attended probably over a hundred NASCAR races across the country.  I will always cherish going out to the boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach to get a late-night ice cream for Gisi and a few beers for ourselves at Whiskey Jacks.  
Let me tell you a funny story about Jack.  Let me preface this story by saying that I always found the most humor when something would aggravate Jack.  Whether it was Latess hitting him in the back of the head with a snowball or Ellis threatening to date one of his daughters – Jacks aggravation was hilarious.
We were testing a very remote test site in the deserts of Arizona.  Despite the dirt, heat and dryness of the site there was a large water hole in the middle of the site access road just off the paved highway. Jack always had to drive and he would drive around the water hole each morning and evening.  Each time we went around it I would pester Jack like a nagging child about driving through the water --- he always declined.  At the end of the week when we were driving out for the last time Jack turned to me with a mischievous grin on his face and said “Let’s do it!!”  He gunned the gas and plowed through the middle of the water hole.  About 3/4 of the way through the water the truck stalled and Jack was furious.  “Why did I let you talk me into this!  I told you we shouldn’t do it!”  etc. etc.      After the truck restarted, we started back to the hotel and occasionally the truck would start hesitating real bad which triggered Jack all over again and he would vent for a while.    I didn’t say a word for over an hour as we drove home.  When we got back to the hotel Jack suggested we stop for a beer and he had a good laugh about the whole situation.

one of my favorite things to do with my grandfather was to go around the MC Museum with him. it never got old to me. i was always so fascinated with everything, and he always had facts to share. all of the other employees that i had met there enjoyed having him around. we all did. he was one of those people who everyone loved and wanted to get to know. i am so grateful that i got to have him in my life. i love and miss you so much grandpa❤️

I first met Jack while working at Harry Diamond Laboratories in 1972.  It didn't take long for me to realize that Jack was both extremely knowledgeable, capable and trustworthy.  As importantly, he was always willing to help.  No job was ever too large or too small.  As a lead technician at the Lab's Woodbridge Research Facility, Jack was an expert on the operation and maintenance of nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP) simulators, and especially on repairing them when they failed.  He also understood all aspects of EMP simulator field mapping and data acquisition systems.  But as capable and dedicated as Jack was at his work, he never placed work before his family or a friend in need.  As a loving husband, father of four, grandfather and great-grandfather, and my friend for 47-years, he will be sorely missed.

One of my favorite memories is  is when we used to go deer hunting together at Uncle Eddies farm in Louisa and staying in the small trailer  overnight and freezing our butts off....he wouldn't let the heater run after we went to sleep lol

Jack was a great friend.  We enjoyed many hours together.  He would come over when his wife and mine would go to the movies and we would go to my shed and drink some beer and talk.  There wasn't a subject he couldn't talk about.  He will be missed.  Rest in Peace my friend.

Grandpa jack was always down for a good time! I always got so excited when him and grandma came to visit us in Oklahoma. I always wished they could stay longer. When I was young, grandma and grandpa would always stay in my room when they were visiting . After they left, I would always find a $20 bill on my dresser from grandpa. He would say it was his rent for staying in my room. I loved all the places we would go when they visited. I also remember him having this stuffed referee that had Velcro arms and legs and whenever he would get mad at the redskins playing on tv he would rip off a leg or arm and throw it at the tv haha. I miss him and love him so much but I’m also glad he is no longer in pain and is whole again. I rejoice in knowing I will see him again some day. I love you grandpa! 

I give Jack credit for many of the successes I've had in my life.   He was always a quiet man, but when he did offer advice, I knew I better listen.   Scott and I both had decent jobs, but both of us worked in fields that didn't have much upward mobility.  It was Jack that recommended we both join the Military/Navy and it was the best advice we ever got.  When I asked for his daughter's hand in marriage, he asked me what my plan was and how I was going to take care of his daughter.  I told him I would do whatever it took to be a good provider and joining the Navy would ensure a steady paycheck, an education and insurance for us.  Obviously he already knew that which is why he gave me the advice to begin with.  Jack and Gisi have always been there for Gisi and I throughout our marriage and careers.  They were always willing to help when I was deployed over my 20 years in the service, and always provided a comforting place to return to and call home after my parents passed away too young.  We enjoyed many camping trips and RV excursions that were very special to me.  I loved him dearly and miss  him every day.  I know he's resting in peace and without any pain and watching over us all.   Love you guys!

Grandpa was a great man and many people thought very highly of him and still do to this day. Man of few words but very knowledgeable especially when it comes to history. It’s was fun listening to his stories and learning from him. He always had a lot of guns and old memorabilia from places he had been to that he would show us grandkids. We always had fun with him. He is loved and missed dearly.

Dad,  where to begin is the question. Life is already hard without you. I know you were ready to be in no more pain but I was not ready for you to get your wings.   You were there when I took my first breathe and mom and I were there, talking to you, holding your hand, caressing your beautiful soft hair ( you had awesome hair always) as you took your last breath. 😢💔.  My dad was the BEST DAD always there to help, strong, loved MOM, HIS 4 CHILDREN, HIS 8 GRAND CHILDREN AND 3 GREAT GRAND CHILDREN with all his heart and was loved by many many people!!!  We are very diehard Redskins fans like him and mom and he loved the military especially the United States Marine Corps.  He was very proud to be a Marine and was a docent at the Marine Corp Museum in Quantico Virginia. I was very proud he was my daddy.  Daddy was laid to rest at Quantico with honors, we honor him everyday.  My infinity tattoo is for you dad on my forearm as my guardian angel for life. Until we meet again, I LOVE AND MISS YOU EVERYDAY. Keep looking down on us, we feel you here with us.  Love your daughter Gisi ❤️❤️

As a new docent at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in 2018, Jack became a mentor and friend. His no nonsense attitude and advice was always relevant and welcome. He treated all the volunteers, staff and visitors like family.  One visitor, after listening to Jack interpret the Iwo Jima flag, told me she could "listen to him all day." His unique brand of story telling and humor was very special. We can replace docents at the museum but we can never replace the unique and special personality of a Jack Stewart. Rest in peace my friend.

First and foremost, my condolences to Jack's family, my prayers to you all. Jack was one of the most amazing and sweetest souls I have ever met in my life. He is one of my absolute favorite Docents and will always remains as one of my favorites. I love him for always being so kind, sweet and caring. I love how Jack's always try to pick on Gisi every chance he gets and always loses. I will definitely miss his tight hugs and sweet smile every Saturdays. I will miss you very much, my love.

Dear Gisi and family,
I knew Jack best during a field test on Oahu, HI, conducted by Harry Diamond Laboratories at a huge Naval communications station. I was the Technical Director and Jack Stewart was a lead technician in the HDL cadry running the test. The Electro-Magnetic-Pulse test was an important one for the DOD. Jack’s traits were a positive influence. His steady, pleasant skillful way with problems, people, and issues that arose made quite an impact on the success of the venture. It was great fun being in Hawaii for eleven months. When we returned, Jack grinned and pointed out that we had made a big mistake in the test, and advised me to tell the Defense Nuclear Agency that we had best do it all over again! That was Jack! An active sense of humor, and never opposed to having a good time. Vicky and I miss him.

My Daddy (Jack) was the most handsome, caring and loving father a daughter could ever ask for and he is truly missed and loved deeply.  He made such a great life for Mom, Scott, Gisi, Christina and me and always made sure we were taken care of.  Providing a lovely home that he had built in 1978 to taking us to many different places, with his job, and making many great memories for his family.  I will definitely miss going to Redskin games with him because it was great father/daughter time.  One thing that I will always remember is when he would introduce Christina or me to his friends at the Marine Corps Museum...he would say this is Michelle...she has an identical twin and other one is better looking!  LOL!  If it wasn't for dad, I would not be where I am today in my career...he took me downtown and said you are going to take the test to get into the Federal Government and here I am.  I don't have one childhood memory that doesn't have my daddy in it somehow and someway and I know he is up there looking down on all of us.  Rest in Peace Daddy!  You are in a better place and I love you more than words can describe.  I agree with Mom that we all won the lottery when we got you as a Husband and Dad!

You left a lot of people in your life with heavy hearts, especially your family.  When I was young you taught me how to fish.  I liked the Giants because they had blue uniforms but you finally convinced me to come to my senses.  Fishing and Redskins...two things I love in life.  I will never forget camping, fishing, and attending Redskins games together (especially the one when you had to tell me that Joe Theismann was not coming back into the game).  I wish you could have been here a little longer to see your youngest granddaughter graduate High School but I am at peace knowing you are no longer having to endure what you have had to for years and that you are resting peacefully.  You always put others before yourself no matter the circumstance and never complained about anything.  Mom said it best, your four kids also won the lottery when you became their Dad.  Being your daughter has been the best part of my life.  You were always there for us no matter what.  I know that you will be watching over your family and friends and keeping us all safe.  I will think of you often, and I will always love you Dad...Christina

My big brother. Jackie, that is how he is known by me and always will be. He was the most kind and generous big brother. I knew that if I needed him, he would be there in a second. He always called me "mushy Marian" because I liked to hug him whenever I saw him. I love and miss him so much. Dear God, please take care of him. He was the best brother a girl could have. Be at peace my wonderful big brother. Till we are together again.

Jack was a good friend. When I first started volunteering at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, he accepted me right away. He was often there with an encouraging word when I thought I was going to mess something up, and he was usually one of the first to make me laugh about something that I had designated as So Stressful! ;-)  I learned a lot from Jack. Not only about the Marine Corps, but also about how to interact with visitors and make everyone feel like their visit was special. Very often, I had the 1PM shift at the Iwo Jima Flag on Tuesdays. Very often, Jack was the docent who had the shift right before mine. It became a tradition on Tuesdays that I would appear, usually running, to get to Jack right at 1PM, and he would usually laugh at my dramatic entrances through the door near the Iwo Immersion. One time, when I was really running late, I burst through the door and yelled "I'm Here! I'm Here!' while waving wildly. Jack was with a visitor and he calmly turned to the gentleman and said "She's kind of shy."  ;-) Jack and I had a lot of good talks over the years. I am going to miss his wisdom, his humor and his advice. ~ Nayla Mengel

 Jack, we miss your smiling face on Earth but we know you have added a huge brightness to Heaven.  You are now pain free and in the arms of our Heavenly Father.  Some day we hope to party again with you.  Oh the memories we share - we met in 1982,  through our son who admired your twins and still does.  Over the years we became best of friends, cruised, camped, vacationed, laughed and cried together.  We attended Redskin games for years, had a few beers, and us guys had much fun hunting and fishing together.  We shared our Catholic Faith, attended family weddings, enjoyed seeing each others families as they grew.  Yes, we did it full circle!   Oh, how you inspired us, your patience always prevailed and your kindness never failed.  We did projects together, had crab & BBQ feasts with our families - yes Jack - we had so many  memories through life with you and Gisi.  Our guy, hunting and fishing treks, the best, your kitchen assistance perfect and our meals appreciated.  Your care, especially,  for Gerry's emergency needs on travel,  to camp,  Niagara Falls, and short trips  never failed - you  became his doctor in crisis!  Thank you for the memories, love you shared, and the lessons in life we all had together as families and also attending the Marine Corps Balls.  We  miss you, but knowing your pain and suffering is no more, strengthens our hearts.  Love and Semper Fi forever, JACK.

my name Lia Wannall I am married to Jack's cousin named Frank.
when I arrived here in the USA in 1964 I was very afraid of knowing the whole family. since I did not speak English very well so I was terrified, but when we arrived at the destination that is to say the house of the cousins ​​everything was changed, the first person who met me was Jack with a big smile saying welcome to our family, my fear disappears and my heart calms down, so I always have to thank Jack, since that day I feel much more part of their family.
Jack was a sweet person and very calm and patient.
for me it was an honor to meet him and to be part of his family i will never forget the joy i feel for him
I remember when he came to our 50th Wedding Anniversary was with us in all the photos.
Jack I can never forget you and now I know that you are in Heaven you will become a Guardian Angel for your children and your dear wife.

Dear Aunt Gisi, as i look as pictures of Uncle Jack around your house...pictures of Scotty, lil Gisi, Michelle & Christina and all your beautiful grand kids , I see how blessed Uncle Jack was.   I see all the friends he has that will miss him tremendously !!    All this makes me wish I had known him better !!   But this i do know,  I am blessed to have known him as I did !    He reminds me of my own father, who is always there , always coming through for his family & showing endless love !!     I know you all will miss him beyond what I can imagine !!!   God Bless  you ALL !!

What a wonderful tribute to Uncle Jack.  ♥️ I smile every time I say Uncle Jack.  I Never really understood why he didn't want us to call him that but, it was just so natural to call you both Aunt and Uncle.  You were both such big part of our Childhood.   We have so many wonderful memories. 
All of us kids living under the same roof and causing all kinds of trouble. When I think back to the things Bubba & Scott got into and Little Gisi &  I got into.  I even remember you lining us up in the kitchen to make us take those little red pills.  Oh gosh, I always had so much trouble swallowing pills when I was that age.  
Good times for sure.  I hope you take us up on our offer to come and see us when you're ready to get out and about.  We'd love to see you.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jack. My condolences. He was like a dad to me and I will truly miss our sports talks, all of his jokes he shared with me and him telling me I looked like his twin daughters. I would always reply, dad, Michelle and I worked together for years but she's older than me and we would just start to laugh. I will always cherish the Orioles hat that he gave me as it will always be displayed in my office. Thank you for sharing him with me and everyone else. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

When I went to the Museum's first organizational Volunteer-to-be meeting in the Spring of 2006 I was scared - what was I doing in a room with about 100 people, most of whom were Marines or Marine family members, me not a Marine!  Gisi and Jack would soon put me at ease, thanking me for being a Volunteer, always nurturing, teaching me.  I always greeted Jack by a strong greeting, simply 'REDSKINS!"  I found Gisi and Jack to be of the very highest quality of people.  I won't disappoint you two, promising to always be at my best in the Museum as Gisi and Jack were. My Uncle Jack, to me he was a towering man's man that as I grew older grew more appreciation for. We may have not spent a lot of time together (as I got older)  but even with the time I did spend with him I had much adderation. I respected his love for "The Skins" even when having a bad season, his love and pride for the Marine Corp (HOORAHH) and his love for his family, my Anut Gisi & Cuz's Scottie, Michelle & Christina. I know he respected his wife's brother (my dad Eddie) and I know that speaking for my father, dad had a lot of respect for him and his family. I remember Uncle Jack & Scottie coming to hunt on the property I eventually purchased from him and Aunt Gisi, I still think of him whenever I'm on that property and only hope he's proud of it's upkeep. I still find an occasional shell and wonder if him or Scottie got one that day. Uncle Jack you were the wizard of electronics as well and remember being careful what to touch when I went into the garage. I remember you starting the tour for me at the Marine Museum and how proud you looked. There will never be another Uncle Jack, I love you, miss you and most of all respect the hell out of you. I hold my head high when I speak of you and who you are, say hi to pops for me. Love you Sir!

Rich and I are so very sorry for your loss. Jack was such a kind and selfless man. I know that my father was able to go to the museum more often because of you two. I believe that they are guarding the streets of Heaven together now. God bless and keep you!

I am so very sorry  for your loss, Gisi. Jack had such funny, and outgoing, personality.  He loved being at the Iwo flag. At one of the Marine Corps Balls at the Museum, an elderly former Marine (age 96) had an accident in the men's room. Jack was in there and had helped the gentleman maintain his dignity and helped clean him without saying a word to anyone outside.  It was such a kind and respectful action and I've never forgotten it.

Jack we miss you....you will always be in our thoughts and memories of the fun times.

I'm so so sorry to hear of my cousin, Jackie, passing, not away, he will always be in my  treasured memories. He was a gentle gentleman & a very proud Marine.  I was young , when I saw him come thru the front door at my Aunt Marion's & Uncle Jack's house, I was in love. He never stopped being a Marine, him & Gisi, his wife was dedicated to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. He had a well lived life enjoying his family & he was well loved by all❤️my sympathies also go out to his children & his only siblings, Norma & Marian

         As I have expressed recently. , Jack was one great person and Marine. Having met him over ten years ago I learned a lot from a docent from the original class of 2006. His personality and humor at the Iwo Jima section  kept visitors very attentive.  I, will miss him greatly along with others. I, thank God I had the pleasure of knowing him. My sincere condolence to Ms, Gisi and The Stewart Family, this is truly sad as so many of us loved Jack like family.   I met  Jack and Gisi many years ago while working at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.  Jack was someone I looked up to as we would spend hours working the Iwo  Flag, well Jack would work and I would assist or goof off!!   We spent many Tuesday and Thursdays telling stories when it was slow.   We enjoyed the museum for many reasons but the comradery was defiantly there and a big part.  We all enjoyed the Marine Corps Birthday celebration each year too.  He would share his life and family trips as he loved making it to his different pit stops across the US as he loved his family.  Jack was very humble as I would try to get more and more information out of him, he would cut me short and want to hear my story, I would joke back and tell him I did not have much to share.   He always wanted to hear about my family and my military career, Police job as he made me feel like I was part of his family.    A few years back I had the honor to give back to Jack and some family members by providing them a tour of the Pentagon, he could not stop thanking me but it was my privileges’ to honor his military service.   I am proud that I got to know Jack and be there and serve along side of him.   He will truly be missed!  Sir may you RIP and God Bless You Marine.

Jack was just a wonderful example of a beautiful human being. He gave the best hugs and was always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. You have been a wonderful neighbor and dear friend for many years. Go rest high on that mountain Sir. You will be truly missed. 

I was saddened to hear of my classmate at Carroll High School's passing. Jack was a great guy and a good friend. We last visited at our Carroll High School 60th Class Reunion on Oct. 7, 2017.  I Have included the Carroll High School group photo from that 60th Reunion. My condolences to Jack's family, relatives and friends. May Jack rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Jack’s death. Be assured of the Archbishop Carroll High School family’s prayers for the repose of his soul. Jack was a dedicated alum, attending many alumni functions over the years. He will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. I personally appreciate his support and the time he took me on a tour of his beloved Marine Corp Museum.  Semper Fi. Indeed Jack was always faithful!!

I offer my deepest sympathy at the loss of Jackie, he will be missed by all of us, especially  his family.  I remember the family gatherings surrounded by our aunts and uncles, all the first, second and third cousins,  at the multiple houses in Maryland and Virginia, at North Beach in the summer when we were teenagers.  Jackie was the best looking of our older cousins, and many of us younger cousins just went gaga over him, especially in his Marine uniform.  We celebrate his remarkable life and mourn his passing with you and his children, and sisters.
