Born in Fairfax County, Virginia on April 2, 1966, Joe Carosi grew up in Aquia Harbor in Stafford. He graduated from North Stafford High School and worked in trucking, delivery, construction, antiques and collectables.
At North Stafford High School, Joe had all the school spirit and all the connections. When you saw his blue Camero, you knew it was Joe. His entourage was mighty and they are friends to this day.
Joe never met a stranger. He greeted everyone with dignity and respect and had the ability to make other people feel welcome and appreciated. Joe was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and had a tremendous sense of brotherhood and love of humanity. Joe loved the sacredness of the Catholic church, and he never missed a holy day. His faith was strong. Joe will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, spot-on sense of humor, and the lasting impact he had on everyone he met.
Joe was an amazing collector of vintage toys, sports and collectables ranging from the Punisher to Batman, Superman, Marvel, DC, Disney, music and everything you can imagine in between – and beyond. He also had a rare collector’s eye for architectural salvage and antique furniture. Joe had pockets of industrial-sized treasures stored across a few counties and spent the last few years consolidating his vast collection of rust, wood, metal and the truly unique. Joe was one of a kind!
Joe was preceded in death by his father, John Patrick Carosi, Sr., his mother, Shirley Carosi, his sister Mary Elizabeth Carosi; and his nephew, Michael Patrick Carosi.
He is survived by his sister, Angela Mary Carosi; his brothers, John Carosi, Jr. (Bea Moore), Mike Carosi and Patrick Carosi (Mona Carosi); niece, Dolly Carosi (Cavell Thomas), and nieces, Chelsea Carosi, Brandi Love, Katryna Carosi, Ava Thomas and Emeline Carosi; his nephew, Andrew Thomas, and extended family.
We will always love and miss you, Joe! (Nigel and Jim!)
