

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph Michael Humphries announces his sudden passing on November 2, 2025, at the age of 35. Joe was born on December 9, 1989, in Woodbridge, VA, and lived most of his life in Triangle, VA.
Joe touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had the biggest heart, the most beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. Joe had a kind, generous spirit, and a genuine love for his family, friends, God and Country. His absence will be felt every day.
He was a gifted musician who loved singing and playing the drums and guitar. Joe's other love was sports - especially football and hockey - and he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Washington Commanders and the Washington Capitals, his favorite teams.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Humphries; brothers, Steven Humphries and Scottie Humphries; grandfather, Carroll Humphries, Jr.; grandmother, Ruby Humphries; great-grandmother, Fannie Pearson; and uncle, Kevin Curtis, Sr..
Joe’s memory will be forever cherished by his aunts, Barbara Brewer (Werner), Lynn Curtis, Lisa Weaver (Dave), Kristi Nixon (Steve); uncles, Mike Humphries (Cindy), Kevin Humphries (Michelle); and great-aunts, Doris Crider and Pearl Clark (Charles).
He will also be lovingly remembered by his first cousins, Todd Brewer (Leanne), Bryan Curtis (Jess), Jeremy Curtis (April), Kevin Curtis, Jr., Nick Curtis, LisaMarie Rivera (Rob), Michael Humphries II, David Weaver, Jr. (Jenn), Angela Elisha (Aulbrey), Tim Weaver, Sydney Tillery (Dakotah), Katelynn Hicks (Colby), Haylee Humphries, Taylor Humphries, Kaelyn Speight (Caleb), Maci Jo Nixon and several second cousins who he loved and adored.
A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 200 Onville Road, Stafford, VA 22556 on January 31, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
