Linda Cheryl Wright

Linda Cheryl Belcher Wright, 65, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at her home. She was a loving mother to her son, Wesley, and Nana to her two grandchildren Dean and Bailey. Born in Grundy, VA, on May 24,1955, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ona Belcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Wright and her brother, Brian Belcher. She is survived by her son Wesley Wright (Susan), grandchildren Dean and Bailey Wright, her sister, Karen Cecil (Bill) of Lynchburg and sister-in-law, Gail Belcher of Grundy. Cheryl received her BS degree from Bluefield College and her M.ED. from VA Tech. She served several years as the Buchanan County Extension Agent before moving to Roanoke, VA. Her final move was to Fredericksburg to be closer to her son and his family. She loved beach trips with her girlfriends and sharing funny stories. She was known for her quick wit and we will all miss her big smile. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to the Buchanan County 4-H program.
