She was born in Morrisville, Virginia to the late George Samuel Freeman and Elizabeth Brown Freeman. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Evans Stivers, in 2010. She is survived by son Aubrey Johnson (Carol); son Karl Johnson (Brigitte); daughter Brenda Goad (Josh); seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 24, with a funeral at noon, at Mullins and Thompson Stafford Chapel. Interment will follow at Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Goldvein.
