Mandy Balderas James

Mandy was the daughter of the late Bobby and Diana Balderas, and the loving mother of Claudia James, who was the center of her world. Throughout her life, Mandy carried a deep sense of adventure, exploring countries and cultures far from home and collecting stories and memories that she cherished and shared with those closest to her.

Even as illness entered her life, Mandy's strength and determination never wavered. She continued to work full time, showing a resilience and quiet courage that inspired everyone who knew her. She faced each day with grace, refusing to let her circumstances define her spirit or diminish her love for life and for her family.

Mandy will be remembered as a true cosmopolite, for her unwavering work ethic, and above all, her devotion as a mother. Her intrigue about the world and her love for her daughter Claudia were the threads that ran through everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Diana Balderas, and is survived by her daughter, Claudia James, who will carry her memory and her adventurous spirit forward.

Mandy's journey took her to many corners of the world, but her heart always remained with her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Visitation will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554, on September 24, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
