Marie Louise Silvestri

Marie Louise Silvestri passed away on March 21, 2019 at the age of 96, daughter of the late Anton and August Frost of Bristol Wisconsin. She spent her youth in Bristol. In June 1940, Marie graduated with honors from Mary D. Bradford High School, Kenosha Wisconsin. On May 31,1941 she was united in marriage with William Herbert Springer at Frieden’s Lutheran Church, Kenosha Wisconsin. In her working life, following her marriage and the births of her first four children, she was a secretary in the advertising department at Massey Ferguson Company, Racine Wisconsin, then at LeTourneau-Westinghouse in Peoria Illinois . Her fifth child was born in Peoria. After she moved to Michigan, she was secretary at Ethyl Corporation, Detroit Michigan. Following in the next nine years, she served as secretary for a number of sales managers at Bristol Myers East Central Division in Cleveland Ohio. In California, she was an Engineering Secretary as well as an Engineering Assistant at General Electric in San Jose California. On November 6, 1976 Marie was united in marriage with Armand E. Silvestri at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in San Jose California. In 1977 she was employed at Sonoma State University as Department Secretary until ill health forced her retirement in 1978. Marie is predeceased by her parents, her son John Anton Springer, her daughter Heidi L. (Richard) Lee, and husbands William H. Springer and Armand E. Silvestri. She is also predeceased by her sister Agnes (Charles) Secord and her brother Clarence (Billie) Frost, many friends and classmates. Surviving family are her remaining three children, William H. Springer Jr of Brooklyn NY, Marsha Jean (David) Gohsman of St Stephens Church VA and Julianne Louise (Norman) Reuss of Vermilion OH, and four grandchildren. They are Jeffery (Beckie) Gohsman of Chesterfield MI, Rebekah (Joseph) Lahout of Boston MA, Andrew Lee of Chicago IL and Christian Lee of Evanston IL. Also surviving are nephews and nieces Martin Moskopf of Kenosha WI, David (Dixie) Whitley of Murfreesboro TN and Erika Rider of Kingswood TX. Other survivors are step daughters Roberta (John) Pantle of Fullerton CA, Patricia Silvestri of Fullerton CA and Maria Rovegno of Mamaroneck NY. Cremation will follow immediately at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Services of Fredericksburg VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Marie to a charity of your choice.
