Martin Rousseau Walker, age 70, of Stafford, VA passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at his residence.
He was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration working in various management positions in the area of air traffic control. Martin served honorably in the US Air Force from October 1969 through June 1973 as a Russian and German translator.
His passions spanned a spectrum of interests as a pilot and flight instructor, photographer, avid skier, amateur astronomer, triathlon athlete and classic cars and music enthusiast.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda R. Walker, daughter, Valerie Sanders, two sons, Bryan Walker and Mark Swanson, two sisters, Lolita Gilkes and Sonia Paratore, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. A Celebration of Life is planned as well.
