Mary Anne Rogers

Mary Anne Hofmeister Rogers (80) of Stafford Virginia passed away March 5, 2021. She was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on July 20,1940 and graduated from Marquette University with a degree in nursing. She was preceded in death by her aunts Alice, Lillian, Janet and Elfrieda Knack, her mother, Ruth Knack Hofmeister Platz, her siblings, James and Frederick Hofmeister, and her husband, Allan B. Rogers. She is survived by her children, Sandra McNerney (Tom) and David Rogers, grandchildren, Cady and Andrew McNerney (Amber), sister Margaret Conley, niece Colleen Conway (Miles) and cousins, Dennis and Bernice Knack. Mary Anne was a nurse in the US Navy, worked as a public health nurse, a McDonald’s manager and a Walmart associate. She was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. A private graveside service will be held at Stafford Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
