Nita remained in Blair through her school years and later met and married William (Bill) Doyle Lollar after his service in WWII. Soon after Bill's return home, he hired on the Halliburton Corporation which found the family moving to Utah and later the state of Nebraska.
A persistent student of dress making, she became a self-employed seamstress most of her adult life which was appropriate for the family as they moved around due to Bill's employment. After Bill's death in 1985, Nita Raye moved back home to Oklahoma where she again started her own business in dressmaking and formal wear creation. She remained there until moving to Southern California in 2011 living with her youngest son, Glen. The family then relocated to Fredericksburg, VA in 2015 where they remain today.
Nita Raye was known for her love of her family and for the faith she carried all of her life. A member of the Church of Christ beginning at a young age in Blair, she never faltered in her belief and love for the almighty. Her ability to share stories with her grandchildren about the war years, what it was like to grow up in the dust bowl years in 30s Oklahoma, and her keen ability to cite book, chapter and verse when someone needed a kind work will forever be missed. Nita Raye is survived by her five children Ray Dean, Marsha, William Dale, Regina and Glen and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren.
