Born on January 1, 1952, in Dodge City, Kansas, Pam was notably the first baby born in Dodge City that year. She was raised in Wichita, Kansas, where she graduated from South High School before continuing her education at airline school in Kansas City.
Pam began her career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she served in the Civil Rights Division and later at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Her work reflected both discipline and dedication.
Beyond her career, Pam was a woman of great creativity and many talents. She was an accomplished designer of beaded jewelry, had a natural gift for arranging flowers, and was an exceptional seamstress who created hundreds of beautiful formal dresses for family and friends—each piece a reflection of her care and craftsmanship.
Pam was a longtime resident of Stafford, Virginia, where she lived for over 45 years. There, she and her husband raised three daughters. She was known as a wonderful, from-scratch cook and will be fondly remembered for her many homemade dishes. No picnic was complete without her famous potato salad.
Pam had a special love for animals, especially dogs, which brought her great joy throughout her life.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Rex Rockhill; her three daughters, Crystal Nowak (Charles) of Stafford, Virginia, Deanna Skinta of Yucca Valley, California, and Heather Ivory (Christopher) of King George, Virginia; her brothers, Ronald Rush (Barbara) of Wichita, Kansas, Richard Rush of Derby, Kansas, and Richard Rausch of Battlefield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild soon to arrive. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Rush; her stepmother, Mildred Rush; and her mother, Ora Mae Coslett.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554, on March 27, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm at the same location.
