

Robert "Bobby" Paul Ballance, age 23, of Stafford, Va., left this world prematurely as a result of a tragic car accident on Saturday morning, August 15, 2015. Bobby died when the car he was a passenger in lost control around 1:30 a.m. outside Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.
He is going to be forever loved and missed by his family; his parents, Robert (Bob) and Nancy Ballance, his brother and best friend Brian Ballance; his grandmother Nancy Ballance and aunt Lisa Ballance of Montclair; his uncle and aunt Mike and Amy Burke of Lake Ridge; his uncle and aunt Brad and Kristin Ballance of Fairfax Station; his aunt Lisa Araujo of Hartford, Ct.; his grandmother Stella Burke of Marion, Ma.; and his loving cousins Cameron and Mackenzie Burke, Isabella Araujo, and Aidan and Morgan Ballance.
Just as he left this world, Bobby arrived in this world prematurely on November 24, 1991. He was raised in Stafford, Va. and graduated from North Stafford High School in 2010 where he played varsity soccer. After high school, he attended Longwood University for two and a half years studying criminal justice and sociology. He then came back to Stafford, Va. to continue his studies and work. He was just a few classes shy of earning his bachelor’s degree at American Public University in disaster and emergency management and was excited about his future. While attending school, Bobby enjoyed his colleagues and boss working as a full time HVAC technician.
Bobby loved many things such as the Dallas Cowboys, playing soccer, going to sporting events and music concerts, spending time with friends, and learning about his new trade, but his greatest love was family. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, grandson nephew and cousin. He never missed holiday gatherings or the annual family beach vacation. He was a sweet and loving young man with a zest for life.
Bobby was a special angel from the minute he entered this world and will continue to be an angel to all who loved him.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home at 186 Shelton Shop Road in Stafford, VA. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 19 at the same location, with interment to follow at Stafford Memorial Park.
