

Robert Gene Jackson, 61, passed away suddenly at his home in Stafford, VA, on July 8, 2021. Robert was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on December 21, 1959. He grew up as part of an Army family and joined the Army himself at the age of 17, where he trained as a medic. He served on active duty, in Germany, and in the reserves. Robert graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing, he later changed careers and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Strayer University. He worked as a Network Engineer for a government contractor on Quantico Marine Base.
Rob enjoyed collecting model trains, hunting, shooting and computer games. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Elgin Jackson.
Known as Fatman by his children and grandchildren he will be greatly missed. His memories are cherished by his wife Robin R.; his children: William A. and his wife Savanah D. and their three beautiful daughters Riley R., Regan M. and Rayna M.; Andrew J. and Robert E.; his mother: Betty E. Jackson; two brothers and their wives: Clayton Lee and Lisa; Paul Wesley and Marylisa. His nephews and nieces include William L and his wife Erin and their daughter Sophie; Michelle L.; and Latecia Marie and her husband Derick Shelton their three children Derek, Evelyn and Kendrick.
There will be a small graveside service at Quantico.
