Sandra Marie Hutchinson

Sandra Marie (Reese) Hutchinson, 66, peacefully passed away in her sleep while at her home on 22 November. After a 3.5 year battle with breast cancer for a second time, her family is grateful that she is no longer experiencing pain and is now at peace.

Sandy was born April 11, 1949, in Vallejo, C.A., the second daughter of Irene F. and the late Jack V. Reese. After receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Business Management from Humboldt College, she became an Army spouse and raised two daughters as they lived throughout the United States and abroad in Japan and Italy. For the past 20 years, Sandy was a dedicated civilian employee of the Marine Corps at Quantico. She loved gardening, swimming, shopping, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Hutchinson and Tracey Reed (C.W.); two grandchildren, Alexander and Abigail Reed; mother, Irene Reese; and sister, Virginia Avilla.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, 12 December at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Home, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford.
