Saundra Faye Thompson (Stalter) passed away after a brief illness on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was born January 24, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma and was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Earl Stalter and Lucy Mayes Stalter. Saundra spent her early years in the Canyon and Amarillo, Texas areas graduating from Tascosa High School in 1966. She attended Amarillo Community College as well as Baylor University. She was a Registered Dental Hygienist and practiced throughout her life in various offices in Texas, Oklahoma, and Virginia. Saundra was an avid Corvette enthusiast and was a member of various Corvette Clubs in Texas and Oklahoma. In Virginia, she was one of the founding members of the Aquia Creek Corvette Club. She enjoyed racing, showing, driving, and participating in Club events. She loved visiting Colorado and the Southwest, and the peaceful solitude of the Rocky Mountains. No service is planned, yet a celebration of her life will be held in the Spring of 2018. Memorial Donations may be made to Wolf Haven International in Tenino, Washington, or your local SPCA.
