Sean, we lived on the same street for many years and shared many adventures in middle and high school. You, Cian, Brian, Hector, Josh, and Spencer, the whole gang. I remember the time we were in the woods crossing a log over water and you tickled me and I fell in. Then you saved me from drowning in about 4 feet of water (lol). My fondest memory of you is that amazing smile and sense of humor that you had. You always had us neighborhood kids laughing about something, even if it was ridiculous. You will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace, and I'm praying for your family during this time.

Sean was one of my very first interns I had the pleasure of mentoring at WPU. Being fresh out of college myself and Sean in his senior year, I’d like to think we both helped mentor each other. Sean was so artistically talented and was one of our best student photographers that we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Even if he did take 700 photos per game when we only needed about 100 lol XD.
One of my favorite memories of Sean was one of his final projects taking 360 degree photos of all of our athletic facilities. We traveled from campus to WakeMed Soccer Park, to the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, to the lacrosse fields in Holly Springs snapping pics. The catch was, the camera operated on Bluetooth and you had to be within so many feet of the camera to take the image. So in every facility photo, Sean and I are hiding somewhere behind a tree, door, media table, large rock, bleacher etc. What could’ve been a tedious job taking tons of photos turned out to be the best time thanks to Sean and his creativity.
Sean, you and that infectious laugh are missed so much. Thank you for everything.
Love and peace to his family. ❤️

To Sean’s loved ones,
There are no words that could express the deep sorrow we are all feeling at the loss of such a beautiful soul. He was the type of person that never met anyone who didn’t like him. He was kind hearted, thoughtful and had a smile that lit up a room. We are all better people for having had him in our lives and we will treasure the memories we have with him forever. May your loved ones find comfort in Him and in knowing how much you were loved, because as we know this is not the end, but only the beginning. Until we see you again Sean.

Today is not goodbye, as our memories of Sean will always live on with us. Sean had an ability to love, make others feel loved, and accept love. He was always his best self, giving his full self, bringing his absolute best, and never backing down from any challenge. His loving, generous, and fierce spirit will always be with us.

I met Sean freshman year at William Peace University. We would hang out with mutual friends regularly. He never failed to make everyone laugh. And his hugs could brighten anyone’s day. I’ll never forget one night we were out with friends and we both agreed to be the DD’s. It was the most fun I’ve had being a designated driver. Sean, you were a light to so many people. Your laugh was contagious and your heart was big. You are incredibly missed.

Sean,
Some people come into our lives and touch our heart so deeply that we are never the same again. Sean was one of those people for me. I will hold onto the incredible and positive impact that you made in my life and to all those around you. His contagious personality could light up any room that he walked into. His jokes and laughs could turn any bad day around. He was one of the most outgoing, loving, and caring people I've ever met. I'll never forget the first time we met because I was stressed out and Sean was there to help. From that moment on our friendship grew and I will always be blessed that God allowed me to have him as my "brother." I'm honored to have had your friendship in my life. I'm thankful for all the memories we made together and I will cherish them forever! Sean, I love you and I'm going to miss you so much!! Rest in Peace Sean. ❤️
Patricia, John and Cian,
My condolences to you and your family. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Praying for comfort and strength during this difficult time.

I was lucky to meet Sean in college where we had a few classes together. He always had a crazy idea for each assignment we had and his creativity shone through every time. He was so charismatic and friendly to everyone he met. His smile and jokes brought joy to those around him. My favorite memories of him are the many late nights we spent working in the game design lab with our classmates, as well as the trips to the gas station for snacks. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Sean was such a great friend to our son Joe. He visited our house so many times. He was so kind, respectful, and so well mannered he will be missed by so many. Sorry our son can’t be here being in the service he is going to be so crushed to hear this news when he gets out of the field in March. Just know we are so sorry for your loss but know you have an angel looking over you all. Keeping your family in prayer and know we all feel your pain.

Dear Sean,
I remember first meeting you on Easter, a few years ago, you brought my daughter flowers and hugs for all of us. That was the beginning of our family. We were always together at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, days filled with laughter, fun, chocolate and hugs. I am so blessed to have many pictures of all of us spending the day with Brian before he left us in June. We had a great dinner Christmas Eve 2020. We all enjoyed you trying to beat Brian and Brian at the Pinball machine, a very special memory for me. You were so special, you loved my granddaughter, you made her so happy and she loved you to the moon and back. You were my second grandson, I love you dearly, will remember you in my prayers daily, and thank you for all the love and joy you brought to our family!!

Sean was one of the best human beings I have ever known. He and I became friends in college, and he introduced me to several people who would go on to become my best friends. I have him to thank for that. I think he knew how to bring people together in a way that no one else could. He had an incredible spirit and was an all around amazing person. He was always laughing. There was never a dull moment with him, and he could turn a boring day into an adventure. I still remember walking to Harris Teeter in the snow and driving to a concert with friends in Virginia. One thing is for sure, William Peace University would not have been the same without him. Rest easy Sean. You were and are loved by so many.

Sean was a wonderful addition to our family. We loved him dearly and in my heart, he was the perfect son in law. He brought out the best in Jessica and was a joy to be with. Such a kind heart, he really lived in the moment, he was the first to notice a new haircut and remember jokes we told from our last visit. He will always be remembered with so much love.

Sean,
I keep reading what everyone is writing about you on Facebook and instagram and I just want to cry. You meant so much to me at Peace. Your freshman year was my senior year, and what a way to end my college career! To think that if I had graduated sooner, I would not have had the absolute honor of meeting and becoming friends with you. I can’t even fathom. You and our Peace family that year was what made my last year at Peace spectacular. People keep saying that you were so “full of life.” I would say it’s more than that. You, dear one, had life over-flowing out of you! And that life infected every person you came into contact with! I contacted your precious momma to make sure she was aware how much your face was plastered all over my social media on the day you passed. You were everywhere. Callie put a video up on her story and I heard your laugh. I wasn’t ready. But I also think I needed to hear that. I needed to hear you happy and whole. Because I believe that is what you are now. You are whole. And I can’t wait to see you and hear that laugh again. Until then, rest in Peace. We love you to the ends of the earth.

Every now and then, in life, you cross paths with someone, who just simply makes you feel good; someone who leaves you happier, just having spent time with them; someone that, no matter what, unconditionally is there for you; and whose love for life evokes the most amazing energy, impacting your day in such a positive way. Sean was this “someone” for me. During his time at WPU, he would literally “pop” into my office doorway, (and scare me!) with surprise visits. No particular reason...he “just wanted to wish me a happy day, and to grab a Mama Sheri Hug.” With all he had going on...classes, sports, friends, or work, he always made time to stop by. Sean was a kind and special soul. He loved his family, his friends, and our campus community. One my favorite memories, is the hug we shared at his graduation, when he said with tears, I’m going to miss you so much.” Well sweet Sean, I’m going to miss you so much. But I will forever treasure the friendship, and memories, we shared together.
John, Patricia and Cian,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May the memories of Sean, provide strength and comfort for you, during this difficult time.

The world suffered a great loss on Tuesday. Sean a son, brother, sole mate, son in-law, a friend. JUST A KIND SOUL. You don't find to many men in this world that you can say that about someone. He loved Jessica and as a father I could not have been happier knoiwing Sean had her back. Seeing them together it just fit perfect. I will miss him but never forget him. Have a great trip Sir. Love you

Sean was a special person, not just to me but to everyone who he met. He was one of a kind, he knew no stranger - always the first one to introduce himself and give you a hug. He was the type of person to really listen when you spoke. He genuinely cared for everyone and wanted to help in any way he could. He loved his family. I remember they would come down to watch his soccer games and they would come to visit me at the restaurant I worked at - no wonder he was so inclusive, he learned it from his loving parents. He adored his friends. Boy, did he love us and the best thing about Sean was he let you know it, you felt loved when you were with him. I will carry that love with me everywhere I go. I love you and miss you my friend, the memories we shared will live with me forever. Rest In Peace Sean.

Sean,
I will never forget the times that we shared. One of my fondest memories is when you joined the cast of American Idiot. This was a big deal for multiple reasons. One, being that you had never done a musical before and you wanted nothing more than to make all of us proud (which you did and more). Two, you brought together your world and community (Soccer) to ours (Theater). Two worlds that probably wouldn't have come together if it hadn't been for you. Three, you taught us that even if you hadn't done something before and you were brand new to it, all you had to do was put your heart and mind into it and you'll succeed.
I also remember you always would say during rehearsals how you were so nervous and you wanted to do a good job. I repeat, you did and so much more. No matter where you went you brought a smile to people's faces and people gravitated towards that. So thank you for being the light for people and showing us that it's alright to be afraid to try things but to continue to move forward and be positive. We already miss you buddy. I hope you are resting easily and we will see you again someday ❤️

Word fall short when expressing heartbreak and grief so we pray for Sean's soul and for his family to find the strength to be able to carry on without him in their lives.
By all accounts Sean was a positive influence on those he touched in life, so my wish for those that he left behind is that you allow him to continue to be that positive factor going forward.

I had the absolute pleasure of being Sean's teacher for several classes, and getting to know him during his time at WPU. My favorite memory of him is when I was checking on his progress for a major project he was supposed to be working on. He told me to close my eyes, and when I said I see nothing, he said that his how much progress he has made. The way he said it with a smile was hilarious and I couldn't keep a straight face.
Since then he improved so much and I am very proud of him for that. Watching him graduate was a highlight of my career and life. I have thought about him often over the past couple of years and am heartbroken he is gone. My deepest sympathies go out to his family. Like everyone else, I'll miss Sean, but won't forget him.
